The space
Casa Mariano combines classic Northern New Mexico character with the space and conveniences of a comfortable full-size home.
Inside, you'll find exposed vigas and wood beams, tile floors throughout, skylights, Southwestern architectural details and plenty of natural light. The living room offers comfortable gathering space around a fireplace and Roku TV.
The fully stocked kitchen features quartz countertops, distinctive punched-tin cabinet fronts, a gas range, built-in microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and drip coffee maker. We provide stainless-steel cookware along with dishes, glassware, wine glasses, utensils and the essentials for cooking at home. The dining table seats four, with additional seating at the kitchen counter.
Sleeping arrangements
Primary suite:
King bed, Roku TV, ceiling fan, walk-in closet and traditional kiva fireplace. The private en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, double vanity and toilet.
Second bedroom:
Queen bed, closet and ceiling fan.
Third bedroom / office:
Twin daybed, dedicated desk, ceiling fan, kiva fireplace, and Roku TV. This room works especially well for a child, solo traveler or guest who needs a private workspace.
The second full bathroom includes a tub/shower combination, single vanity, toilet and skylight.
Casa Mariano is set up most comfortably for up to 5 guests. A sixth guest may be accommodated, but there is no additional dedicated bed, so guests would need to make their own sleeping arrangement using the sofa or an air mattress.
The studio
Just next to the main house is a separate approximately 300 sq. ft. studio, giving your group an extra space that's completely separate from the bedrooms and living room.
The studio includes a sofa, chair, workbench, utility sink and Roku TV and connects to the home's Wi-Fi. Use it as a workspace, project or hobby room, playroom, or simply a place to spread out and relax.
The studio has electric heat and an overhead ceiling fan. A portable air conditioner is provided during the summer.
Please note: The studio does not have a bathroom and is not offered as an additional bedroom.
Outdoor space
One of Casa Mariano's best features is what's immediately outside the back door.
The private fenced back courtyard includes a gas grill, outdoor dining table and seating for six. Beyond the property is Eldorado's greenbelt and arroyo, with direct trail access from the back of the property—no need to drive somewhere before heading out for a walk.
At the front of the home, a traditional portal provides another place to enjoy the quiet Eldorado setting.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home, fenced courtyard, detached studio and two-car garage. A garage-door clicker is provided.
In addition to the two garage spaces, the driveway provides parking for approximately three additional vehicles.
Guests are also provided access to designated Eldorado community amenities, including the seasonal community pool and community center, subject to seasonal availability and community rules.

Other things to note
The main house uses evaporative cooling rather than refrigerated central air conditioning. This type of cooling is common in Northern New Mexico's dry climate.
The detached studio has electric heat, a ceiling fan and a portable air conditioner during the summer, but does not have a bathroom.
Dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis and require prior approval. Please contact us before booking with a dog.
Community pool and recreational amenities are subject to seasonal schedules, closures and Eldorado community rules.
Casa Mariano is best suited for five guests. While reservations of up to six may be considered, the home has beds for five people: one king, one queen and one twin daybed.
